What happens when you give a Square
I opened the gift and suddenly found myself transported (digitally, at least) to the other side of the world. Through an interactive map and a short YouTube video, I could see the exact area where "my" piece of rainforest lives.

C4 owns the land
C4, the Community for Coastal and Cassowary Conservation, is a registered Australian not-for-profit. They hold the land title and look after the forest on the ground.

The licence runs to February 2036
That is the term of the current conservation licence. We are working to extend it and will offer you the option to continue after 2036. Our goal is protection that lasts well beyond one licence.

Each Square stands for the protection of one specific square metre of rainforest. Under the licence, that land cannot be cleared or developed.

How do the gifts reach each person?
After checkout, reply to your confirmation email with each person's name and email address. We assign one Square to each person, and they receive an email with their certificate and a link to their Square on the live map.
Can we pay by invoice?
Yes. Choose "Pay by invoice" next to the buy button, tell us the size and how many people, and we will send an invoice made out to your company.
How do the quantity discounts work?
Buy 15 or more of one size and each is 10% off. Buy 30 or more and each is 20% off. Buy 50 or more and each is 30% off. The discount is applied automatically at checkout.
Does our logo appear on the gift?
Yes. Your logo stays on every Square you gift, and it links back to your company's profile on the live map.
Is it tax deductible?
You are buying something, not donating. Most businesses treat this the way they treat recognition or marketing spend: an ordinary operating expense. Your accountant can confirm how it applies to you.
Can we use this in our sustainability reporting?
Yes, for what it is. You can report Squares funded, the project, the partner, the protection term, and the CO₂e and water measured across your area. A Square protects forest that is already standing, which makes it a record of protection rather than an offset or a neutrality claim.
